Yesterday over lunchtime I went to the bank. After depositing a hefty check that came as a refund from my former mortgage company, I decided I should definitely check out the Game Stop next door to see if they had any Rock Band for Wii in stock.
They did. But the guy at the counter talked me out of buying it - yet. He showed me the latest copy of what I'm assuming is their publication, Game Informer, which promises Guitar Hero 4, complete with drums and microphone, and recording studio (??). Instead of dropping the cash today and then again in the fall, I took a baby step and finally bought that long-coveted second guitar for GH3.
Oh. My. God.
So. Much. Fun.
I'm not saying we won't buy Rock Band for Wii... I think we'll be researching the song sets and seeing how long our infatuation with Guitar Hero Band Career mode lasts before we decide. There's also a lot of Mario Kart yet to be played, as evidenced by the butt-kicking delivered by Jason last weekend.

Nothing warms my heart more than one of my friends writing an entire blog post about the merits of 2 different video games.
It doesn't take long to get your Mario Kart chops up. I've definitely hit my ceiling, you'll catch up.
Good timing on your post as I'm sure Husband is about to try to talk me into purchasing the wii version. Now I will have amo to wait until christmas...
